UK:- Are a nation of Routine

Every year, every day , we seem to do the same thing day In, day out, put on the same events, same things every day, every year for example

TV schedules. they have autism or must have routine like ITV Daytime must put on the same shows, same routine
yearly events, every year there is always BBC proms, Glastonbury, music festivals, Edinburgh fringe, Hogmanay, trooping the colour, royal events, D-day landings, celebrating war veterans
must have xmas, new year, bonfires and fireworks
must have routine tv events like, x factor/ strictly come dancing and dancing on ice and Britain's got talent
Summer holidays
easter
holy events
like every day must put on something every day or every year, why is this

That is true. It is one way to ensure we conform and can be controlled.
Japan is also a country of routine, for those of you who envy Japan and wish we could model our society on theirs, well, here's one example that we do in some ways have more in common with Japan than we would dare to think.
Aren't all countries like this? It'd be chaos if there were no schedules, that's why they exist.

Apparently, Spain is a beacon of excellence when it comes to a laid back lifestyle with minimal schedules........ :innocent:
I mean they do have a long nap (siesta) in the middle of the day where the shops all close. However they aren’t regarded as powerful by the world, suggesting that it’s a double edge sword

I mean the UK is quite quaint in this sense. If you aren’t a big businessman it’s unlikely that the life you are in will change much.

My best mate is Spanish born and goes to stay with family a few times a year. I can assure you they start and finish work at a certain time, have TV schedules, scheduled public holidays and everything else, just like us.
