Applied late for student finance as I didn’t know we had to re apply!! It says 6 weeks on the website but was wondering if they just say that to cover themselves. Like realistically how long does it usually take? I heard it’s quicker?

As it is all done through Student Finance England we have no control over the length of time it takes to assess an application. The SFE website says it takes up to 6 weeks so I can only reiterate what it says there. It may be worth contacting them directly to see if they can provide a more personalised timeline.

It may be worth doing this if you haven't already to explain your situation; they may also be able to shed some light on how long it will take SFE to get back to you.
