Hi to anyone who is seeing this, so I've tagged a few more people that I see interact in a few different blogs, please give me any feedback on anything I could improve on because I know I do go on a bit too much sometimes...

Thanks!

LMAO, I do the same thing to myself about snapchat :colonhash:, I convince myself I rarely use it but in reality my screen time must be about 2h30 A DAY!

Yesss I do have mocks soon :frown:, thankfully I'm not stressing over them, but I'm sure in a weeks time when you're reading my blog you'll probably figure I am, so I better not speak too soon . I'm no expert, just a fellow student but I like to remind myself that if I put in the hard work, I will do well, I'm sure you've got nothing to stress about. Good Luck with the mocks!!!!

Snapchat is annoying like that i get you. I don’t have my notifications on, so I feel like I have to check every so often in case something dramatic happens. Never does 😂

Ohmygoshhh how I wish I could proudly say I’m not stressing. But nope, you won’t hear it, because it’s so so so not true. I was panic-talking to a teacher earlier all like ‘what do i doooo?’ and she straight up went, ‘right you’re doing no revision at all until monday + then no 9 to 3s from you either’ I need to chill and relax but I canttttt. I literally have a mountain of books glaring at me it’s pretty fab 🥺

YESSSS exactly my point!!! In an ideal world everyone that speaks Arabic would speak it, so everyone can communicate easily but it would never work out that way. :/

Mhmm ikr, tell me about it :frown:

YES! Same thing with me I don't keep my notifications on either so it leads me to check my phone constantly . I would say to you to try and get lost in a film or a book or even a TV series and concentrate on studying for your mocks too, I recently read 2 hours is the optimum time to study for, but its okay if you study for less time...

Its REALLY important to not stress, easier said than done I know, but I used to over-stress (is that even a word!?) about exams and I would get burnt out and perform not too well in exams. :frown: Just keep in your head that after a certain point your brain won't take in anymore information, and when that does happen, you've got to stop studying and go do something else.

(I know I'm not an expert but my PMs are always open if you're stressing about school and exams)

HELLO!!!!

Hi (if anyone is actually seeing this:biggrin:), I'm Koutarou (no, that's not my real name, yes, I am a weeb). I'm currently in Year 11 and I just recently joined TSR, and discovered GYG blogs. I thought it would be a good idea to make one so I'd have something to look back on (if i stick to this :colonhash:).

I'll try my best to update this as often as I can, documenting my academic year. *praying that didn't come across as cringe*
I hope (if anyone is seeing this) that you enjoy and maybe it'll motivate you because I will aim to use this as a source of motivation for myself!!!

Thank you for reading this, I know I'm about 5 weeks late, but oh well. I'll try to update this every week!!!

(Also please tell me I'm not alone in this, but I have a tendency to procrastinate a lot and then watch a motivational student video and then randomly have a spur of energy to get up and study which only lasts for an hour:colonhash: bruh wthhhh)

I'll leave a spoiler here for tags, let me know if you wants to be tagged or removed hahaha...

AHHH are we the same person hahahah!!?
Procrastination is quite easily my biggest problem but hopefully we'll both get through it

ahh yes!! So annoying - I get so guilty when I think of how much I could have gotten done lol :frown:. Next time I procrastinate, I'll think of you and hopefully I'll start being a bit more productive. Anyway, it's half term for us now

Original post by SlytherinSoul
That's if I ever start my homework. I say i'll do it after tea, then it's after my shower, then it's after I die. That is when my procrastination ends lol,

Exactly, man! I'm laughing at "after I die"!
That's basically me lol

Yesss! I'm glad its half term tbh at least I'm not drowning with homework; although I do have mocks coming up... (so much for a break )

Good evening everyone...

At this point, I'm trying to be as optimistic as I can, although it feels almost impossible :frown:. This is my first real 'update' and I HATEEE to start it off by being kinda negative but we are, in fact, in a second lockdown (yes, I know it came into effect last week )!! ANDDD.. to make things worse my bubble has had to be sent home due to a number of cases, so for the past few days I've been self-isolating and (to my despair :erm:) doing online school. Other than that, I've been doing pretty well (the unfinished coursework begs to differ but we don't talk about that :yy:).

umm.. studying and school "stuff"
I felt as though I was quite productive (for once) despite it taking me at least 2 hours to stop watching youtube and getting up to do some studying. I had an upcoming Biology exam so I studied for that, I used this website called "Physics and Maths Tutor" I found it relatively helpful as the detailed notes on the topic I was studying really filled any missing gaps in my knowledge. Later on, I completed a practice paper in preparation for my Biology exam.
OHHHHH... I also created a daily planner on this app I found out about called "notion", its been awesome, and its actually worked SO FAR.. (for me anyway :s-smilie:) I'll leave the link to template I used at the bottom if you want . Other than Biology, I didn't really get much studying done this week (which is not good) but I really needed a week where I wasn't stressing about school because half-term really did not provide that!

Onto my subjects...

English Language
I still haven't quite got the ropes of how to structure my writing in English Language, but I will get there (hopefully). We study 3 different extracts a week and so far I'm quite enjoying it, although I'm not really a fan of the long essay writing.

BUT YEAHHHH enough of me complaining.

Maths
This week we covered histograms, which is quite a straight forward topic so it didn't take too long to understand.

In Maths we're pretty much going over old topics because we have mocks coming up (which I am NOT looking forward too). In terms of revision, I hAvEn'T dOnE aNy, no I'm kidding, I completed vectors and translations this week (not too shabby if you ask me).

History
MY FAVOURITE SUBJECTTT!!!
So this week we covered the significance of the Potsdam Conference which I didn't find too challenging, after that, we did an exam on it, I got an 8  (not to brag or anything )

In terms of revision, we do not speak of it.

French (or should i say Français *smirk*)
This week we had exams, which i thought went well, I mean it is my flipping second language so it better have gone well!!! *takes a deep breath* Anyway, we did a listening, writing and reading exam, but not a speaking because, if you do a language, you may know, the speaking segment has been removed for this year's examinations.

Biology
I had an exam this week which wasn't too bad, then we went over the cell cycle, mitosis and specialised cells.

Physics
HFHSDFBHB WE HAD COVER FOR BOTH OF OUR LESSONS FOR THE WEEK WHICH WAS VERYYYY ANNOYING (as you can tell i may still be slightly annoyed) but it wasn't my teacher's fault, these things can't be helped...

Chemistry
What did I do in Chemistry this week... I actually cannot remember which pretty much sums it up for my passion for chemistry LMAOOO. Just kidding :colonhash:, this week we covered atomic structure, which I need to study because I seem to struggle to get my head around the whole aspect even though its not that difficult.

chem is.jpg

Religious Studies
This week we covered Islamic Beliefs and Practices. I quite enjoy RS as it is quite a straight forward subject. I've started using the OAKS academy online lessons as a way to study, I think it helps a lot so if any of you do RS maybe check it out HAHAHA.

what I've been up to
In all honesty, I've spent a bit of time on tiktok and playing among us but heyyyy, a little tiktok and among us never hurt anybody, am I right!?

ALL THE STUFF THAT COMES AFTER
SOOOO...

I haven't quite decided what A-levels I'm choosing yet, but I am currently considering Politics as one. A few sixth forms have gave online talks to my year group at school which has been kinda helpful.

I have mocks coming up soon and I really need to focus on studying as I need these grades to be REALLLLYYYY good if I'm putting them on an application for sixth form.

In terms of GCSEs this summer, the government has yet to announce whether they'll be going ahead, so as far as we are aware, they'll still be commencing in June. However, it is speculated that they may be cancelled as both Scotland and now Wales have cancelled their's. I swear this uncertainty is killing me !!

ANYWAY, I hope you all have a great week (if anyone is reading this). I hope you enjoyed reading!

BYEEE:ciao:
