BT calling me saying my line will be disconnected, is it real?

I got left a message where the voice was telling me if I didn't call BT my line would be disconnected due to hackers? Is this real or a scam? I keep getting these sorts of calls, had one from Microsoft a few days back.

Due to "hackers"? Definitely a scam.

If you want to be sure, look up the number they gave you - if it's not on BT's official website anywhere then you're just calling some random unknown person.

I called them back and some Indian guy answered, I hung up since it's sounded suspicious.
