Radiography courses?

Heya,

I'm in my first year currently studying level 3 health and social care, and I'm interested in applying to radiography in Sep 2024. I just wanted some advice on how the course is for anyone currently studying it, and how the application process was (interview, good unis for radiography, etc). Thanks!!!

When applying, make sure the course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You must be registered with the HCPC in order to practise as a radiographer in the UK. Apart from that, the NHS doesn't care where you graduate from so choose a uni that suits you in terms of location, social life, budget, accommodation. etc. Go to as many open days as you can and note the locations of the placements. Use the following website to search for courses:

Are you going to apply for diagnostic or therapeutic radiography?

During interviews you will need to show your understanding of the role. Arrange a day at a local hospital shadowing a radiographer. Search for videos of 'a day in the life of a radiographer' on Youtube. Get experience of dealing with the general public through a part-time job or volunteering. Learn about the NHS values:
