confused

my bfs parents come over and have a nice fun chat with my family and his mum is very chatty and sociable and my mums happily talking but why does when they leave my mum looks confused/sad I feel upset because when my sisters husbands family come around then my mum is happy afterwards. I’m not sure how to feel.

Have you asked her? Perhaps it has nothing to do with the visit from your boyfriend's parents at all, and she just has other stuff on her mind.

Yeah I did ask her but she didnt answer she doesn’t say

Sit her down properly and ask her. Demand an answer. Tell her that you care for her and want to know what's wrong. So that if something is wrong, you can help her or advise her.
Not sure if you both have that kind of relationship but worth a shot.
It's annoying to be kept in the dark about something, I know how that feels.
