Need some assistance

I did most of my first year at uni but has some serious health complications and a bad relapse with my chronic condition. I couldn’t complete one of my final assessments so they gave me May 2023 to complete it postponing it from June 2022. If I complete it I can come back to continue studying and go into my second year. However of course it’s very late to find a house and I don’t know who they are if it is a random house etc. I live about two hours way is it possible to do the year remotely, might sound stupid as of course lectures and seminars are important but does anyone know if this can happen and then I move back for my final year with people I know? I ended up doing a lot of my first year without showing up (due to not realising how bad my health was and severe fatigue and got 2:1s on most of my exams) I also want to defer to a good London uni if I could as I’m close but they won’t accept me into second year as I still have to do an exam and by then I believe it’ll be too late to request. So signing off: Can unis give people the opportunity to do a remote year if the circumstances are right (I know probably not due to seminars and lectures etc but don’t want to also have
I don't know the answer to your question, but I've moved your thread to a more appropriate place, so hopefully someone will be able to help.
I should imagine though that it's up to the individual university, and that you'd probably have to speak to them directly.

No option of remote learning I am afraid. The unis have gone back to in-person teaching so there will not be recorded lectures or lectures via Zoom. Just move back into Halls of residence, make some new friends and move out with them for the final year.

Hello!

- I do not have personal experience with this but I would reccomend ringing up this universities in which you would like to continue studying to ask this question. Each university will have different rules, therefore, independantly ringing up each university will help you to understand better. If commuting is an option, I would suggest trying to find a university which offers what you need and working out if you can commute. . This way, you can still travel to spend time with your friends and enjoy socialising, whilst prioritising your health .

Hope this helps!
