I only recently firmed Sheffield and a lot of the accommodation at Ranmoor/Endcliffe seems to be gone already. I am a quieter person anyway and am not interested in going out too often so I was wondering whether city accommodation might be better anyway. Is city accommodation too quiet or is there still a social element about it and is it still easy to meet people? Also, I know it’s a stereotype, but are there more international students living there or are there a fair amount of home students as well?

There are generally more international students in City, however UK and international students are spread throughout Endcliffe/Ranmoor and City. Personally, I don't think the social life is any better in Endcliffe/Ranmoor than City. The people you are most likely to socialise with are those in your flat/block; where your halls are located is not really important. Endcliffe/Ranmoor is noisier and has more of an 'atmosphere' because many halls are located close together, whereas City halls are more spread out. You will have a great time wherever you live.

By the way, although all Endcliffe/Ranmoor accommodation might be gone now, they may still release more rooms. I would email the accommodation team to find out when they are releasing more.
