Is it bad that I don’t like spending money on boring stuff?
My boyfriend and I split our rent ( which I totally like doing) he does earn slightly more than me and he pays council tax and bills.
I pay for food ( we don’t keep tabs on this sometimes he pays sometimes I do) but I pay for all our fun activities like going to concerts / events / holidays. I recently took us to Mauritius and paid for it all. I don’t mind paying for stuff like that but I hate paying for bills so I just don’t. My boyfriend is happf too and never complains but I do feel bad. I just like spending my money on luxurious stuff for us like holidays but I’m not sure if this is a bad approach.
Would we both end up saving more if we split everything 50:50 e.g bills AND the holidays?
