Maintenance loan
Hi, I would like to know what is the longest period of time you can be unemployed while on migrant maintenance loan, as I would like to go back to my home country for the first time in ten years and will stay for 4-6 weeks, my job won’t allow me to be off for more than 2 weeks in a row so I would have to quit, and look for a new job when I’m back.

Hi there, If you have a period of unemployment and are not in receipt of any job seeking benefits for this period we will not be able to award you the Maintenance Loan funding. Thanks, Angela
