College obligation to Uni about student behavior

A student from my college has an offer from Oxbridge. They were suspended in April for numerous behaviors including danger threats to other students and pervy behavior. They were allowed to take A levels but only in supervised room away from others. It would seem to be a scary risk to not inform their Uni as their behavior can’t be isolated to just their sixth form. Does anyone know if college is obligated to report ? If they do what they did in U6 at Uni, or worse, it could be really serious and life changing for others.
Universities will ask for references from colleges about students during applications, and things like disciplinary actions, exclusions and behaviour etc should be raised there, with it up to the uni if they take them in.

Sounds like this is after the ucas applications have already been submitted, and so it remains the choice of the college to tell the uni or not. Unless there’s a crime, then there really isn’t obligation to tell unless the uni asks, and even then it’s a little murky.

If you’re really concerned, you could email the uni and tell them what’s happened and they can follow this up with the college and student and make a decision there.

Otherwise not much more you can reasonably do.

Without having all the information and being 100% certain of ALL the facts I would not contact the uni or you might find yourself at the centre of a defamation case. If the school believe that the future student is a risk to others, then it is up to them to notify the uni.

This, stay out if it.
It’s up to the college. As above, you won’t be in possession of all the facts.
