visit vietnam - Vietnamese food

My husband and I will fly to Vietnam on August 15th and will land in Vietnam at 5pm. We needed to go out to eat that evening. Can anyone recommend the ideal food and destination or a local lead? Looking for help, I've never been to Vietnam and don't know Vietnamese

I heard that Morning Glory and Cha Ca La Vong both are famous restaurants there.

I'm also most probably going to Vietnam next year and I would love to try some local food, what are some most popular dishes there? Preferably with no meat

Ask your accommodation for a good place to eat!
Join some food tour is also an option.

Since you’ll arrive in the evening, it’s best to eat near your hotel. In Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, areas like the Old Quarter or District 1 have lots of street food options open late, pho and bun cha are good first picks.

You can also ask your accommodation for nearby suggestions. If you want help navigating local spots, you might consider a local guide, found this site has options https://gowithguide.com/vietnam

If you want something easy and delicious after a flight, many places offer “com tam” (broken rice) with grilled meats—really tasty and filling. Also, if you need, I can help you find a local guide or food tour to make your first night smooth!
