Languages at Sheffield uni

Hey, can anyone tell me about their experience at Sheffield uni? I'm considering applying for english with modern languages and cultures. What is the nightlife like? thanks :smile:

Hi studentinaroom3,
My name is Sofia, and I am a 3rd year Biochemistry student at the University of Sheffield. I can't really say much about English with modern languages and cultures directly, but I can share my experience of being a Sheffield student with you. I have really enjoyed my time at Sheffield so far, finding everyone to be really friendly. I also like the fact that Sheffield is a big city with lots to do, whilst also being very close to nature/green spaces (Endcliffe Park, Weston Park, Peak District etc.). Nightlife in Sheffield is really good with plenty of bars and clubs. We even have our own club in the Students Union (The Foundry).
