Waitressing Trial Shift

I recently had a job interview at a small restaurant and they said that they may ask me to do a trial shift. I have no experience in hospitality and this will be my first job. Will they tell me what to do prior, as in how it all works, or will they just send me in blind? What else should i expect too?
Also what not to do?

Usually they will tell you what to do before hand.
I’ve never had a trial shift as a waitress but when I worked at subway they let me watch what they were doing and explained it while doing so. Then they just let me do everything else myself. Lol
It was kinda scary since this was my first ever job but you’ll pick it up quickly.

When I finished the two hours they told me what i did good and what I did bad and they I got the job.
Only thing I can say is just try your best and if you don’t know something don’t be afraid to ask for help.
