Neighbour Problems

A few months ago I took it upon myself to introduce myself to my neighbours. We'd both been living at our respective abodes for years but we never spoke. Anyway I went round and introduced myself in a friendly conversation. However, I was walking about my village and he crossed my path and not only did he ignore me, he seemed to actively avoid me-he did so on two occasions. I don't know what provoked him to avoid me or what I may've done to cause him to be avoidant, but it's cowardly behaviour as far as I can tell.

I was wondering whether or not to have a peaceful discussion about it with him, or whether I should drop it and do something better with my time.

What do you think?
Some people are introverts. So they just like to avoid speaking to people. I doubt this person hates you or has anything against you. I would advise you to just ignore it and carry on with little to no interaction like you previously did.
i would drop it and do something better with my time
maybe he is shy or an event put him in a sour mood
