Applying with lower predicted grades

Is it worth applying to unis which have slightly higher entry requirements than your predicted grades? Or is this usually automatic rejection?

Usually on artistic courses (where they require a portfolio alongside grades) they will make exceptions if they deem your portfolio good enough to make up for the lost grades

Sciences and computing etc they often won't unfortunately, but there is no harm contacting the university course leader to ask

It depends on the university and course. Most might make you a reach offer but top universities like Imperial or LSE probably wont. It is worth having 1 reach offer but make sure your others are places you meet the grades.

yes that was what I was thinking, 4 out of 5 where my predicted meet entry requirements should be fine.
