A digital ambassador from anglia ruskin University and I struggled with applying for student finance too, but it couldn't be simpler. I know that if you are in England you go on the official student finance England website. This will ask you to register, it then asks you questions and takes you step by step through what you need to do to get that money.
You will always have your university fee paid in full. However, the maintenance loan varies, depending on how much your parent or guardian earns and your circumstances. Once you have applied you will need to send off evidence to student finance to see if you are eligible for a higher sum, but that comes later and they send you an email to help you out with that.
