American Applicant Response Time

I applied a week and a half ago to Oxford, UCL, KCL, University of Edinburgh, and University of Manchester for French and German. I am US applicant so I was wondering if that means they will take longer to give me a decision? Has anyone (international or not) gotten an offer for languages at these schools yet (excluding Oxford)?

Ah! The deadline for Oxford applications is as you know the 16th October. The UCAS deadline for the other universities is I believe 31st January 2024. Therefore you probably won't hear anything from them until after that date, although depending upon course and Uni, you may hear something in December You'll be treated exactly the same as any other applicant.

Yeah, I applied on Sept. 14th and got an offer Oct. 23rd to Manchester.

Edit: Not for languages though, just noticed you asked for language course applicants.

Hello! I'm a US applicant applying for 2025 entry and was wondering when you heard back from the above schools in the end if you're comfortable sharing?

I'm not llloyd.15, but I am from the US and over the last admissions cycle I applied to Manchester, KCL, St Andrew's, UCL, and Oxford. I heard back from Manchester in mid-to-late October; from KCL in early November; from St Andrew's in late November; from UCL in early December; and from Oxford on January 9th. Good luck!

Thanks! That's super useful to know. If you don't mind me asking, what were you AP exam scores and program you applied to? Also, when did you submit your application to UCAS?

I applied for Classics. I had 5s in Seminar, Bio, APUSH, Euro, Latin, and Lang. I submitted my application on September 19th, I believe. Let me know if you have any other questions/concerns!
