Maintenance loans SFE refusing to assist disabled student
Hi all,
I am a student with long term health conditions suffering from anxiety, depression and back pain disc bulging and deuteriation. I have applied for maintenance loan from the beginning of my studies and have been refused financial assistance have provided letters from my GP stating that i cannot physically attend on campus university and DSA forms that stipulate my health conditions also they are challenging me that All universities have a legal requirement under the Equality Act 2010 to ensure reasonable adjustments are in place to allow students with disabilities to physically attend or undertake their studies. So they have making it impossible to access financial assistance.. Any advice to a current student with disabilities? I have appealed the decision and have got nowhere.
