Nothing is improving

For over one week I've had coughs and coughs.

In the late night all I do is cough. Depending on the position I sleep in.

I went to the hospital, had blood tests, x rays, checks which they said I've got a chest infection.

They given me antibiotics.

However I just coughed and puked up now. I guess I cannot lie down to sleep, I'll have sit up on the sofa.

Just continue taking what the doctors prescribed you, and try and find ways to ameliorate the symptoms (like sleeping in a sitting up position as you've indicated). See if you can ask your pharmacist or GP for any recommendations on other things that might help.
