I study Fashion Design here at BCU, and I know of previous graduates who have gone in to multiple different careers besides design after graduating. Fashion design will surely give you some great transferable skills for a marketing based job, and also will help with your creativity for sure. Just because you study a certain subject for a degree, it doesn't limit your choice of jobs afterwards.

Maybe you could have a look at some current job ads relating to marketing - even if you're not ready to apply yet. And you can read their descriptions to have a look at what the employers are looking for. I'm sure there will be some cross over in the skills you may already have as a designer for a marketing role.
