Also, as you don't do a creative subject at A level, have you managed to compile a portfolio in your own time?

Architecture is a design-based degree and at least half of the course modules are design. Portfolios are required by the majority of unis as part of the application process, and you will start receiving requests soon after your UCAS application is submitted. On average, you will be given 3-4 weeks to submit your portfolio. If you don't draw/paint/create in your own time, then it is probably not the degree for you.

For an idea of what applicants include in portfolios, google 'manchester uni portflio blogspot'.

There are a few guides by some unis that help, I found these useful when I was making mine:

https://www.ucl.ac.uk/bartlett/architecture/how-apply-undergraduate-study

https://www.ucl.ac.uk/bartlett/how-i-created-my-portfolio-bartlett-school-architecture

https://sites.manchester.ac.uk/humanities-blog/2021/04/23/how-to-make-your-architecture-portfolio-stand-out/

https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/engineering/departments/abe/portfolio-guidance.aspx (there are examples ones here!!)

In addition to these, there are many Manchester School of Architecture applicant portfolios on Blogger - some of them are really good inspiration!! The main thing to remember is that they aren't expecting perfect drawings nor do they expect architectural work - all they want to see is how you think creatively and how you express your ideas in your work
