Newcastle University accommodation 2024/25

I’ve received an offer to study at Newcastle university starting September 2024. I have yet to confirm this as my first choice but it’s highly unlikely this will not be Newcastle. I’m struggling to make an application for accommodation. Do I have to confirm with them before I can apply to accommodation? Or is it that their September 2024 accommodation isn’t available to apply for yet? I just don’t want to leave it too long before I apply for accommodation if it’s available. ( I haven’t received my last offer yet but I know that I have places at my first choice and backup at this point)

Applications for accommodation haven't opened yet. Our Accommodation Team have advised that applications will open in Spring, but have provided no more definitive timeframe at this stage. You will receive an email as soon as the application portal is available to use.

hello I recently confirmed Newcastle as my firm choice and as I'm doing the dental therapy course, I really liked the look of park view however when I went to book this it was not listed, does this mean that it is no longer available?

Through Advanced booking, we are releasing up to 70% of each residence in weekly batches until mid-June. As such, Park View will come up again on the portal, with about 50-100 rooms being released in this site each week.

In the interest of fairness, we are not making it known which days/times these batches will be released. However, we can advise that this week’s batch was released yesterday, and no further rooms will be released until next week.

Park View has been an extremely popular accommodation this year, and when rooms are released, they are being booked very quickly. Although it will be releasing more rooms, you may wish to explore our accommodation options to consider alternative sites that you would also be happy to live in next year.
