Is this right?
At work, I booked my holiday at the same time from a team drinks event.
I'm an introvert and I've been to a lot of drink events at work. Honestly I just wasn't in the right state of mind to go to a work event.
When I came back from holiday, my boss told me off for booking holiday at the same time as the team drinks event.
I was told that I'm not being a team player.
My other colleague also booked holiday on the same week as me - but they never got into trouble.
Is this right?

You’re allowed the book any time you want so long as it follows any policy about giving enough notice and not clashing with others.
If the drinks thing is out of hours it’s a “nice to have” and not mandatory.
Sounds like the workplaces culture may not be a good fit. Or could just be your boss being a plonker.
