Appeal Claim for Exceptional Circumstances
This is a really odd case but I submitted an EC under a Student Support Plan unbeknownst to me that I didn't belong to this group. Although the claim the was within the deadline. I was advised that I needed to submit an EC claim as opposed to a SPP claim by the EC team.
I was then talking to the admin team via email, who said I needed to produce evidence, and then got confused wether I still needed to submit another claim as I assumed they would consider as a standard EC claim.
After producing evidence, the EC committee now rejected my claim on the basis that I did not submit within the 7 days deadline. I don't know if I have grounds to appeal to a Special Case Committee, although it seems unfair as the admin team did not clarify and was under enormous stress at the time.
Any advice ?
