What do you think of guys who never visit the gym?

Personally I'm going through a phase of loving the 'buffed up' body type, which sucks because guys like that are generally out of my league...
However in the past, it hasn't put me off, and I'm sure most other girls wouldn't care either.

wait, what?

You're kidding me right?

How would they be out of your league?

There are loads of guys with pumped up pecs and biceps at my gym and trust me, you wouldn't want to go out with any of them because a lot of them are ugly, miserable bastards who are trying to compensate for a lack of something: personality, looks, height.

Most beefcakes in the gym do not look like a Calvin Klein model.
Never been to a gym in my life. It's never posed a problem.

I frankly don't see the point in gyms.
Why would I waste my time paying through the nose to lift heavy things in a room when I could be exercising in much more interesting and fun ways elsewhere, ie. sport and *gasp* the outdoors.
Not to mention that just going to the gym does not automatically turn you into an sculpted model of perfection. It does bugger all unless you persist, do it properly, and take the necessary steps to support it.

Anyone who would look down on me for never having used a gym is not worth my time.
In my time I've done walking/hiking, cycling (used to do that massively, mainly do it about town now), running, skiing (cross-country and Telemark are quite hard work), ice hockey & skating (do that regularly nowadays), martial arts (sulkido), wrestling, etc. Stuff like archery and larping (which can be surprisingly energetic) could be added to the list too. All of which are more interesting than lifting things or whatever in a gym.

Being out of a guys league.

So what makes you think you're not above average?
I don't really like 'buffed' bodies. So I don't mind so long as he keeps healthy in other ways i.e walks a lot or cycles.
As completely normal, average guys. Not everyone goes to the gym, low percentage of my friends do anyway - guess ti varies from friend group and from age to age but hey

Unfortunately I'm a regular gym-goer but only because I need to as I'm a competitive rower. Anything I do is focused primarily on improving performance rather than appearance.

But yes, you're right, the majority of people who go the gym just to focus on appearance never end up with the right result: the typical look after a year or two are fairly large biceps as they've been focusing on the "beach muscles", larger pecs and usually, weak shoulders, pretty bad core strength (so quite often, quite **** posture) and skinny, weak legs. I mean if anyone thinks that looks good then they're free to think so.

Never into you? Do you come off a bit aloof towards guys?

I dont see anything wrong with you physically, you are attractive with rather large...lady assets :colone: but maybe your attitude or something else repels 'buff' guys from being with you.

Not that those buff guys have anything on me  Dont go for guys who curl!
I've had more attention since working out than I did beforehand. Most importantly though, it all eventually comes down to personality, character and ability to socialise on a higher level than that of a dissected sea sponge.

Also, working out and acquiring a good body has given me extra confidence (something I value deeply, being a person who formerly had next to none) in all facets of my life. It's a definite improvement.

she's attention seeking and you're rising to the bait.

anyway, no problem with guys who don't go to the gym. it makes guys who do go, look like they have better bodies

Not that I'm aware of, though I guess I am a bit shy and awkward at first, I tend to be shy and awkward in a friendly way
Haha! I don't even know what curling is :frown: I just have stupid girl hormones telling me I need big strong man to protect cave and hunt food, right now, hahaha!

I can't seem to post on anything without you saying I'm attention seeking. Like I've said before and will no doubt have to say many more time, if I wanted to seek attention, I would do it in RL, not on some silly internet forum. I come here for conversation, to cure boredom and meet new people.

Meh, i'm too busy studying and/or in a coffee shop to be bothered with something as trivial as lifting weights. I'd rather exercise my mind than my body.

They aren't mutally exculsive numbnuts.

u jelly of my swoleness and mental prowess while you are stuck with just the one?

meh, I'm too old for you anyway but I'd devour you in a heartbeat after like a workout meal. Nothing beats sending a text to the girlie along the lines of "pucker up, daddys home soon!"

No **** sherlock, females generally seek attention no matter what. Like yourself if you really are a female.

Oh right, delightful!
So basically the question is what do you think of 90% of the male population, right?
