Do your parents tell you that you are pretty?

I've been told by people that I, but have never heard it from my parents.

So I'm wondering whether this is the same with others.

I'm guessing maybe my parents don't say anything to me because they don't want to give me the impression that beauty comes before anything else in life, because it doesn't.

But, what could any other reasons be?

I would guess (unlike the guys that tell you that your pretty- which Im sure you are mind you) that your parents dont want to sleep with you

I don't live with my dad but my mum tells me all the time but then again she's my mum so she's hardly going to say i'm ugly :lol:

They've probably said it once or twice, but most of the time they criticise me in some shape or form and make suggestions that would turn me into a completely different person.
I was also told that I could still blossom and maybe one day I could look like Jennifer Lawrence. *sigh*
