University of Sheffield accommodation

Which is the best accommodation to choose at the university of Sheffield?
I'd like to live in city accommodation, but was just wondering if Allen court or st. George's flat is better....
(Although I'd also like to know what Endcliffe accommodation is like too, maybe it'd be worth to stay there even though I'm slightly further away from the uni)
Which accommodation is closer to more supermarkets?
Thanks!

St. George's flats is only for returners and post grade from what I remember.

Endcliffe and Allen Court are fairly similar, only real difference is the walking distance and Allen Court having a (exaggerated) reputation for having more international students

If you're going to be a fresher then 100% go for Endcliffe/Ranmoor.
I know this post isnt about stephenson (stevo) halls but i want to reassure people who end up there that sits not as bad as you first think. theres always something going on and your catered to, so can spend all the money in the village shop and all over campus plus the edge bar. im second year now and i miss the place and look back at it with fond memories tbh. most people choose endcliffe as their first choice, and obviously people who were insurance students or who got in via clearing usually end up in stevo however i met all my mates there so it was a good move for me

Why? Is it closer to more supermarkets and things like that?
I'm hoping to live in quieter accommodation which is quite close to the uni and supermarkets and stuff like that... City accommodation is closer which is why I was considering but if it's definitely worth staying in Endcliffe I will  (like if it's quiet and more up to date etc)

I think if you want to a quiet place that is close to shops and uni maybe Allen court is better? it's 5-10 mins walk to the SU, there's Tesco nearby. You can also go to the Moor market.

Well it depends on your own personal preference... Would you prefer to be closer to the uni and the city or live in a prettier area, where socialising is a more important aspect?
Personally I'm gonna pick city but only because it would be easier for me because I'd be close to what i need to be....Otherwise I'd have gone for Endcliffe...But i think both would be good....But ofc I've never stated before

I'm reading some discussions right now and I think Endcliffe would be better for me - more students, great atmosphere and it is not that far from uni but still, there is a lot of things I have to take under consideration. What are you going to study?
