Did you make new friends in sixth form?

The sixth form I'm going to has like 3000 students in it, more than my secondary school! Is it normal for people to move on from Thier 'old friendships' and make new ones?
Most people make new friends, just make sure you say hello and first week/month a good convo starter is what subjects do you do after you say hello. Also a lot of people stay friends with their old ones while making new friends.

Also 3000people wow.. you will definitely make friends, but don't worry if you aren't the popular group or most popular guy. You will make friends and its best to try and form close friendships

Btw I went to 2 sixth forms so I am kind of an expert in this. feel free if you need anymore info

My college has over 2000 students and I made friends the first day, and have formed amazing friendships, some of which stronger than those with people I've known for 3+ years. That being said, i didn't go up with any of my high school friends, so I was forced to make new friends, but it's very normal to make new friends. In fact, i would encourage it.

How hard is it to make friends on sixth form? Because the one am going to is pretty loud and I don't know how to survive.
my sixth form is TINY - there's literally only around 150 students in it. so i haven't rlly made any good friends there, i knew better people at secondary school.

but i think the bigger the school is, (in terms of there being more students), the more likely it is you'll find people you get on with since there's gonna be a wider, diverser range of people.

like for me perosnally, i can't wait to get to uni bc i'm not THAT close with any of the students at my sixth form

Its usually easy to make friends especially if a lot of people are new to the school. Most of the time people are welcoming so just make sure you are just approachable , just talk to people. Sometimed you need to put in the effort to get closer e.g. make a group chat or invite them out for your birthday or something.

Also you are guranteed atleast 10friends because you will sit next to 1 of 2 people in each lesson. As you go through year you should be friends with all your classmates.

Also try be friends with your teachers , but that usually comes naturally. (Might help with predicted grades:colone: that +being a good student)

I'm thankful in that the the sixth form at my Secondary School (it's a Secondary School and Sixth Form in one) most of the students from there are just going to Y12 so basically it's the same people, minimal socialising! *awkward introverted celebration*
