Which of your placements were the best and what was your time table like when on placements? Did you have to choose an area you want to go into or do you do that after you graduate?

The setup of placements and lectures varies depending on which university you attend, but you will end up with roughly the same number of contact hours and placement hours at every university.

For example, I attended Marjon, so I did a 2 week block placement in my first year, 2 concurrent placements in my second and third years (2 days of placement and 3 days of lectures per week for 10 weeks - usually one adult and one paediatric placement), and a 12 week block placement in my fourth year (which has since been discontinued at Marjon).

You don't normally get to choose any aspect of your placements, apart from perhaps the general geographical area you're placed in. You can't specialise as adult/paeds/a particular condition until you graduate. You would then look for jobs with the client group you prefer, which typically gets more specialised as you gain experience.
