Part time exclusion courses

I have heard there are changes to part-time exclusion degrees in year 2019 to 2020. Where can I find this information

The change is how they are classified as the JACS system will no longer be used. If the course is a part time honours degree, joint honours degree or integrated masters degree and shows a HECoS (Higher Education Classification of Subjects) code of CAH01 to CAH12 then it would be eligible.

As examples, 'Medicine and Dentistry' are CAH01 and 'Engineering and Technology' are CAH10. Your university should be able to tell you if the course has the required code.

Thanks for reply, difficult to understand the information. Would you know is BSc natural sciences code q64 is exempt?

I am trying to find out which courses are considered exemption courses and which/if they are full time or part time in order to apply for funding for a second degree.
As my first degree was self funded through the OU I have to do an exemption course if I want to return to study and change fields.

I have spoken to SFE and been told about HECoS (Higher Education Classification of Subjects) CAH01 to CAH12 and also been told that some courses are eligible for funding if studied full time - PGCE, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Social Work, Nursing and Midwifery.
And some course are eligible if studied part time, Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Medicine and Allied Sciences, Physical Sciences, Technologies ie. STEM subjects.

However, the below document states they are all ELQ part-time exemption courses.

Additionally, on the UCAS website and on university websites the courses have completely different 'UCAS' codes not the HECoS codes.
For example: Medicine begins with an A followed by a number, Engineering begins with an H, Architecture with a K, Technologies start with a J etc. which is the old JACS coding system.

So where do you find the above courses with the above HECoS - CAH codes?

I do not want to waste time applying to SFE for courses that are not eligible for funding. I would not be applying for funding if I could afford to self fund again.
I want to look at the exemption courses and decide if I have the skills and ability and motivations to study them, then apply.
