Masters Loan Application

Must I have a job to apply for the Masters Loan? I ask because I heard that I might have to submit my application with employment status form ( Not sure that I completely understand why). I have received funding from SfE for my undergraduate course.

Irish but have my UK Permanent resident since 2018. Am eligible for naturalisation if I wanted since January 2017.
