Finding placement for a sandwich year during a uni course

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me with this dilemma.
im thinking of going South Wales University but would liek to know if its possible to take a year out of my course after the 2nd year to find a placement to gain experience. i know that Coventry University offers it with part of their course and i don't know if i do find some way of doing it at Cardiff would i be able to do it with student loans or will i have to pay for it all?
Any advice or information would be helpful :smile:
