If you don't want to go to university, don't. All this, "go speak to your tutor advice" no. You need to spend time with yourself, and ask yourself what you want, if you want to know what decision you are most comfortable with, unless someone knows you better than you know yourself.

Life is short, I don't support the notion of walking upon some pre-planned societal path.

I don't really understand what you are getting at.

Not many people genuinely like their degree, its just the system that we have to adhere to...

Just suck it up, ignore your degree and do as much extra curricular stuff/socialising/sport/whatever you enjoy as possible (to have as much fun as possible). Then cram before the end to get as good a degree as possible (2.1 at least).

Uni is the best time of your life (not because of the degree work - that is an irrelevance) but because of the freedom and the socialising.
