Wrong degree choice - Don't know what to do next?

Hi all

I am currently a mature student (21) in my first year which is a foundation year on a 4 year course. I have made the wrong decision in choosing Psychology when I have always wanted to be in healthcare, a nurse or paramedic.

I don't have adequate A Levels so I would need to do an access course. However, would I be covered in funding for the access course and SFE as I have already taken one year of funding? If I work this out I will stick out my foundation year and then drop out.

I guess i'm just asking if this sounds plausible, and whether I will be covered by funding?

Thanks for your help.

Nursing is exempt from sfe rules so would be funded but paramedic science isn't. I don't think you could get an access course funded but phone sfe to check.
Perhaps you could complete your psych degree then do a postgraduate diploma in nursing?
