Will the Costume course have textbooks??

I've heard that textbooks can be expensive - but buying materials for making costumes will be too.

Will the costume course have textbooks?? and how much will I need to set aside?

Hi, I've just done first year. There's no need for textbooks as there are no exams. History of Dress books are useful as there is a lot of research on the course though.

You won't have to go buy material either. For each of your projects the technicians will make up a fabric bag which are normally around a tenner. They have all the things you will need for the project. Only things like buttons, dye and extra embellishments you want to add you will have to buy.

You get given a £100 bursary to spend in our art shop, which you'll need as for design a lot of different mediums are used.
