RAF Security Clearance

Hi all,

I have just completed PRTC, and have a starting date of the 11th of April for BRTC. I am currently a bit worried about the length of time it will take me to obtain security clearance.

My security clearance was submitted on the 5th of March, and I am yet to hear anything back from either the RAF or the vetting agency. My start date is obviously very soon, and I would hate to have my start date pushed back for my clearance not being granted in time.

If it has not been given, would I still be able to begin BRTC or would my date be pushed back?

Also - How do I know if I have been given security clearance, would I receive an email?

You can start training without vetting being complete. Worry over!
