PhD Loan -You can't apply because you have a Postgraduate Loan in the same year.

I'm trying to apply for PhD funding for a course starting in January 2019. I finish my MSc this year. Yet I'm geting an error message at the point of entering country of residence of "You can't apply because you have a Postgraduate Loan in the same year."

Any ideas?

Just to confirm you don't already have an active 2018/19 Postgraduate Loan application?

If not then this is an issue we are aware of and are working on a fix to get this resolved. In the meantime I would advise you apply on paper by sending in the PhD application form which is available here
