To move out or not?

Hey guys I’m just looking for some help regarding uni accommodation and moving out
I’ve been accepted into uni of man and I could commute and get the train which would take me half an hour I’m just worried about socialising and getting back on nights out ( I’m quite sociable though) I can only really afford the cheapest accom where I’d have £50 left over to last me each week so maybe I’d get a job aswell?? My parents don’t see the point of me moving out financially they think it would be a waste of money, I’m just so unsure!!!!
Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

How late do trains run? Half an hour is pretty commutable imo.

Do you live far away from the railway station? Is it easy to get to? Can you drive there?

Last train is usually around 11pm it’s about a 10 minute walk for me to 2 train stations that could get me into town, I don’t drive yet

10 min walk isn't too bad.

Last train being at 11pm might be an issue if you're planning to go out, though. For some people, 11pm is when the socialising/clubbing actually starts

Haha that is very true!! And I do like going out! But I suppose I’d have money to be able to afford taxis or stay at a mates? But then again I don’t want to have to rely on them
This is an issue I'm having myself with choosing which unis to apply for. I think most people regret their decision not to move out, at least from what I've heard. You miss out on a lot of the uni experience such as living on your own and being truly independent. Also your parents will probably keep on asking you where you are and when you'll be back, other parenty questions, etc. I'm personally leaning towards not going to a uni that I can commute from home to just because I want the full uni experience, not just the socialising aspect, but it's up to you in the end.
Okay now this is making me regret not applying for accommodation 😂
