You can mention it, but you also need to be careful about the way you word things in order to make sure you don't come across as being confused or undecided. As long as what you are writing about can be linked to your actual course you should be fine.

The only thing is for oxford the enginineering course only specialises after year 3/4 so I dont know if I would be saying contradictory things when talking about that specialism
