Super-curriculars

What are some good super-curriculars to do when applying for Chemical Engineering at top unis (eg: UCL, Oxford) and would going to a summer school residential help me with my application.
Also any book recommendations around the topic of Engineering/Chemistry
I would say a personal research project/invention based on invigorating interest in the field of Chemical Engineering.
Try to focus on curriculars that stand out, as it would boost your chances of being remembered. Moreover, try to find different opportunities to expose your interest in Chemical Engineering, as many schools try to choose students who have a passion for one type of unique thing. (Correct me if I'm wrong!)

Thank you for you response, would you recommend doing an EPQ?

Yes! I would say so if you don't mind using your free time to work on it. I recommend it for people doing 3 A-levels. If you plan to do 4 A-levels, it may be hard to find time for your EPQ as they are time-consuming.
