may come across strange, but unless they're stuck up, dont think they will mind too much, although may think more care could be taken....

im 90% sure its fine, focus on things you can change

ahhh ty
It shows you're not attentive, have close to no attention to detail and/or are stressful under pressure or rush to complete average work.
Doubt it, unis understand that when someone reads over the ps many times they don't notice mistakes

Doesn't mean you'll get denied. Just means if you mentioned anything to the contrary to what I said ("I'm an attentive person") they'll take the rest of your application with a grain of salt as to the sincerity.

Believe me there's a lot worse mistakes people make than spelling Keynes' name incorrectly. Also depends on the academic department make-up - the person reading the PS may not necessarily specialise in Economics. No idea about KCL but if it's mixed with social sciences in general it might be someone completely oblivious to who he is. Although I'm sure they'll know since everyone and their mother mentions Smith/Keynes/Friedman in economics PS applications as if they think it impresses the university.

It really won't help your cause with regards to the LSE, as they intensely scrutinise each personal statement (especially for economics) as part of their process of differentiating between different candidates. As for the rest of the institutions you've applied to, I'm fairly sure it won't cause much of an issue so long as your grades are satisfactory. Try not to worry though, as it's not the biggest mistake in the world.
omg , i also made a mistake in my economics personal statement. I wrote 'communicative effectively' instead of 'communicate effectively'. idk how this happenend i read my statement a thousand times and my sixth form department kept it for 2 weeks to check it but did not spot the mistake. Will this small grammatical mistake mean rejection? however i feel that the rest of my personal statement was really economicy and academic
