This is Britain, all people will do is sulk and tut when we leave the EU, if we do. We should stop Brexit because we will be economically worse off as a result, the only question being by how much and who will be hardest hit. A second referendum is the only fair way to do this.

There's going to be civil unrest whichever way it goes, we just need to make sure we end up with the most beneficial longterm outcome to this whole debacle and prepare to deal with people throwing tantrums when whatever course of action is announced.

There'll be more than tutting/sulking if there's a referendum about the referendum we already had in 2016. And even worse will be seen if the decision the country made to leave is quashed/vetoed by an ineffective parliament.

It's quite hard to believe the rioting in the streets if we don't leave as planned theory. Most Leavers are aged over 50 for a start off - can't see them doing anything too energetic. The biggest majorities for Leave were in constitutuencies either with very white, affluent, middle aged electorates or coastal deprived towns with limited opportunities for trouble making (smashing up the seafront amusement arcades perhaps?) and similarly ageing demographic profiles.

The worst we are likely to get is a few renta-yobs/gobs with bad skin from Essex of the sort we saw shouting at poor Anna Soubry outside the House the other day - I suspect professional agitators like Lenin would have regarded that lot as pretty small beer in the anarchy and chaos departments.

Kick out the migrants. THen hold second referendum. The result will be 60 to 70% in favour of leave.

Great idea. Let's just sack 14% of the population... and all the jobs they do. And instead we will give all those nurses and doctors jobs to the British working class who have no skills or work ethic. Unskilled lazy British people can do a much better job than highly skilled and motivated migrants.

That is if your great great great.... great... great grand mother wasn't raped and pillaged by invading Gaelics or Vikings.
