University response?

I'm expecting my chosen universities to ask me for a reference because I applied without a reference. Do you know how long I will have to wait for this?
You don't need to wait for them to ask. Obtain a reference now and have your referee send it to the corresponding UG admissions teams.

How do I obtain a reference? Is it a document or?

You'll need to ask someone who is familiar with your academic work. Usually a subject teacher or your form tutor.

If a reference has not been provided via UCAS, then typically it's sent as Word or PDF doc attached to an email from your school.

My tutor is no longer a tutor at the sixth form so that's not really an option.

Either ask your (former) year head or the most relevant subject teacher.
