claire’s nose piercing

i’ve been looking for places to pierce my nose, and although people recommend not to get it done at claire’s as they use guns, but i asked them and they said they use this new thing called a touch free instrument or something like that. do you think it’s much better? they suggested its much easier than needles and less harmful than a gun.

I would still recommend not getting it done at Claire's, and finding specialised piercing place that has a good reputation, hires trained professionals, and uses clean, up-to-date equipment

My friend got it done at Claire's and it got infected and she had to go hospital to get it removed sooooo I'd recommend getting it done at a professional place.

Getting piercings done with a gun should only ever be lobes and even then, if you have the choice, it’s better to go to a professional piercer. Gun piercing also risks shattering cartilage which can cause bumps/ lumps, awkward piercings and infection. I’ve had my nose pierced at a local piercer/ tattooist and I’ve had absolutely no problems with it. Avoid Claire’s and get it done professionally.

Yeah but they said they don’t use a gun anymore. They use that touch free thing but I don’t really know what it is.
They do use guns! My friend got it done recently with a gun! I would recommend finding a reputable piercer - usually they have good ones at tattoo parlours.

As stated above, they absolutely still use guns. Regardless, it’s not worth the risk. A piercer won’t charge you that much more (if they even do).
This is what the Claire’s website says about nose piercing
I’d still recommend a proper tattooist/piercer.
It does just sound like a type of gun tbh

At Claire’s we pride ourselves on providing a sterile and hygienic piercing service.

All our ear piercings use a high quality Studex System 75 instrument. This means you can benefit from a system which offers:

Fully disposable, single use, sterilised cartridges for hygienic and effective piercing
Pre-sterilized earring cartridges which require no human contact resulting in the highest hygiene standards
The piercing instrument does not come into contact with the ear at any time, only the pre-sterilised, preloaded cartridge.
The piercing back is automatically installed onto the piercing with no need to adjust after piercing for your ultimate comfort and safety
For nose piercings we use only a Medisept Nose Piercing System, which too uses a single use cartridge meaning the instrument does not come into contact with your skin at any point.

This is the system. The choice is yours
