University after IAL cancellation

Hello, I am a IA-level student and I was about to give my IAS exams this may, and afterwards apply to a uni this upcoming august-september (that's the application period for that particular uni) with my AS grades (which would've arrived at around August). Unfortunately, because of the coronovirus outbreak all of the may/june international exams have been cancelled and i am not able to give my exams this upcoming may. My school has said that they'll try to make us sit for the exams in oct/nov if possible. I'd get my results at around early jan if i gave exams in oct. My question is, what is there for me to do now? Is it possible for me to apply this upcoming august-september without having my AS results? Would my uni be considerate enough if i contacted them and told them about my situation?
