how to break it to someone that you are moving away? how do you reassure them? and what are the right things to say or you would like to hear?

How far are you moving away? And do you think you will still be able to continue your relationship with this person? If you are moving to another town or city that is less than 4 hours away, you could remind them that you can always come and visit them on weekends and holidays, and they could do the same. If you're moving countries, you can call them, facetime them and even visit once or twice a year! I also think you should tell them when you are both alone and have enough time to talk, preferably in person. Think about how they will react to your news and use a friendlier tone than usual, if necessary.
