Morning after pills or birth control?

Which is better for first time sex?
Birth control 100% !

The morning after pill should only be taken in an emergency. It is not designed for regular use and can involve side effects for a few days.

If used correctly, birth control is 99% effective but the morning after pill is 95% effective if taken within the first 24hrs- depending on brand and some other factors, the morning after pill can be less than 95%.

If you do not want to go on birth control then alternatively you can use a condom which will also protect you against STDs and STIs. I strongly advise going for the condom option, especially if you and the other person have not been tested.

Using protection like a condom will help as well.

Going on the birth control pill is efficient but still not 100% as only about 99% in preventing unwanted pregnancy.
Morning after pill is still efficient enough but if you having unprotected sex then think about you perhaps catching a STI or anything else at sametime as this isn't designed for constant use for this.

So best thing is to go on the pill good few days prior to doing things and at sametime use proper protection like a condom.

But are condoms effective? What if they break??? Do you know any ones which are really good and don't tear?

Condoms are 98% effective. It is unlikely that they would break. I wouldnt worry honestly. There are reasons as to why condoms break and if you avoid them then they won't break. Here are the reasons why condoms break- don't worry about condom sizing most guys are average and therefore can fit a normal sized condom. If you are unsure then ask the guy.

If you are under 25 then you can get a C card which means you are entitled to free condoms. You can find more about it here.

If you are worried about condoms breaking then just avoid ones that are labelled 'thin'.
Birth control should be used where possible. There's a reason the morning-after pill is Plan B.
