He has a life outside of your friendship
Maybe he wants to spend some time replying to you properly
There are loads of reasons but he doesn't owe you anything and at the same time there is still no reason to suggest he isn't friends with you anymore

Nobody likes to be spammed with calls and texts. Even if I like someone and I'm busy and they're coming on too strong, starting to bombard me with neediness, they'll be cut off. It's a sure way to make sure I never reply again. Instant turn off.
