Universal Credit and what affects it?

Hi, I'm currently a full time Access student and a single mum. I have Universal Credit in order to help support myself and my kids.Since this goes on a month by month basis I am wanted to know, which financial help from maintenance loans , to the NHS bursaries and Grants actually will affect my income? Will it affect it for just the months I get my instalments or will it be an affected if for the whole academic year?
Any advice or information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
